The controllers

A good number of years ago my vife and I visited St. Petersburg. We were appalled to see the pitiful state of the many beggars, many of them crippled. Our guide later told us, that they were run and controlled by the local Mafia who took most of their daily earnings in return for near subhuman accommodation and something to eat. This scene outside Copenhagen central station reminded me of that situation. I have no reason to believe, that the men in leather jackets were controllers, but the difference in their dress and stance was noticeable. For best viewing click on image to enlarge.
