Regent Street abandoned

I am beginning to have doubts about my ability as a Street Photographer. I have now several times only seen unique aspects in an image, when editing and not at the time of photographing. This image is such a case. Here is Regent Street in London and apart from a solitary cyclist it is totally devoid of wheeled traffic. That is not often seen. An unusual sight, it’s usually teeming with people and traffic.

What a remarkable photo. Was the street closed to traffic at the time? I’ve never seen Regent Street like that. The absence of traffic draws attention to the elegant curve of the buildings.

    Hi Susie
It was a totally normal day. I only noticed it, when I went through my pictures on returning home.

Right place, right time, Poul. 🙂 Do you shoot direct in black and white, or in colour and then convert?

    Hi again Susie
I do both. Lately I have my Fuji x100 s set to b/w and square format. That works well for me. I have it on a short strap and can trigger it from the hanging position. It is totally silent, so no one notice.
    Regards
    Poul
