In the shade of the chestnut tree

I am not sure, that it was actually a chestnut tree, but thought it sounded good in the title. The scene looked very peaceful only, marred by the smartphone. In time our grandchildren will no doubt think of smartphones as strange old fashioned gadgets. Camera Fuji x100s

Like the shot, the leaf shadows give a sort of gentle background – I have never joined the smartphone generation.
Had you considered cropping the shot to cut out the carboot on the left?

      Hi John
Cropping the car booth is probably the right way to go. I did try but didn’t like. I will do some more work on it. It could also do with some more contrast.

I like the shadow and the title fits nicely. I must confess that I still don’t have a smartphone. 🙂

    Hi James
I am beginning to feel the odd one out. You are the third, that have told me, that they don’t have smartphones. The two others don’t have mobile phones at all.
